Heat, Healing + Serotonin

WE'VE LEFT THESE WOODS

FOR SOMEWHERE NEW
It's time to get steamy
Do you ever feel like you want to disconnect? Log off from the relentless pull of the devices and the demands, take the layers off and wash all of that data right off you?
We created House of Steam to provide a refuge and an answer to the noise swirling everywhere else. And you don’t even need to think about it! No analysing, no talking, just…sitting there and letting it happen to you.
Our sauna, Tina, is spruce-shingled, built in the Estonian forest. The walls are curved, and the inside is dark - allowing the heat to radiate and the light to remain low for maximum switch-off.
Outside we have decking with a tree shower, sunken plunge pool, hydration station, bubbling cauldron of home brew tea and melt zone.
So when you book a woodland steam session with us, you'll be enveloped in so many ways to help you get low, slow and melty...
Low, Slow + Melty
MELT
Deep relaxation, purification + nervous system reboot using ancestral traditions from the Baltics
WHY STEAM?
Because it feels so good! So beneficial for weary and disconnected bodies. We want more of us to feel good more of the time
Benefits of steam bathing:
- Increases human connection
- Decreases all causes of mortality
- Strengthens heart health, brain health, memory and focus
- Reduces anxiety and depression
- Improves sleep

COOKED UP BY...
We’re Nikki Smith and Petra Barran, old friends and founders who’ve spent the last couple of decades building food businesses on wheels, Nikki on film sets, Petra on the streets of London. It was fun, but hectic and now we’ve both been drawn towards a different kind of rhythm via the life-giving powers of steam!
After lots of sweating in saunas, temazcals, sweat lodges and bathing houses all over the place, we decided to join forces and create a new kind of venture, here in the woods – looking to offer anyone who crosses our threshold an invigorating antidote to the mayhem of everyday life
